Phoenix Phantoms 46 - 25 Unicorns Harrogate District Netball League Division 2

Phoenix Phantoms had another win this week against Unicorns, who are currently placed third in the league.

Phantoms had a strong squad of 10 and with Alicia Lugg and Laura Harris shooting, Phantoms lunged ahead winning the first quarter 15-4.

With some fantastic centre defence from Isobel Dean and circle defence between and player of the match D.Thomas and Tracey Horner, Phantoms extended the lead to finish the second quarter 28-12.

With some substitutions to bring on Felicity O’Leary, Rachael Dodds and Debbie Reed and a change of positions for Hayley Waldridge, Phantoms stormed ahead and scored another 15 goals to finish the third quarter 43-18.

Despite another substitution to bring Rebecca Waters on as Centre, Unicorns were determined to score more than half to gain a point and they won the fourth quarter, finishing the match with a win for Phantoms 46-25.

Phantoms look forward to a re-match with Unicorns next Sunday. This puts them 16 points clear at the top of division 2.
