Phoenix Phantoms had another win this week beating Dodgers 38-24, leaving them currently the only team undefeated in HDNL Division 2.
It was a slow start to the match, finishing the first quarter with a two goal lead, 9-7. With consistent defending from Rachael Dodds, GK, and Isobel Dean, GD, Phantoms extended the lead to finish the second quarter with a five goal lead, 17-12.
Alicia Lugg, GA, and Laura Harris, GS, worked well together to stretch the gap by another two goals, ending the third quarter 27-20. Katie Ulett, GA, had a rest in the third quarter and re-joined the game for the final push.
Debbie Reed was playing a great WD when she had to be substituted due to injury. With a switch in positions for player of the match Rebecca Waters, from C to WA and Captain Hayley Waldridge, from WA to C, Phantoms completed the match with a 14 goal lead.
This puts Phantoms firmly on the top of the HDNL Division 2 table with only two teams left to play in the first of three rounds.
